This Week’s Resources

If you’re working on Python projects, you’ll need an environment that supports your needs. Here’s a short video that covers exactly that.

Here’s a quick takeaway:

  • Pycharm is hugely popular and powerful. It’s also rich with features.

  • Visual Studio Code is a lightweight and extensible code editor.

  • Jupyter Notebook works best as an IDE for data science.

Pycharm is kind of a default choice, and VS Code is also a great option. If you’re planning to analyze data, you may find Jupyter Notebook as a better option.

Short answer: If you’re looking to quickly test ideas, try an online JavaScript compiler.

Otherwise, you’ll be served well by VS Code.
